The Fetus or The State of the World

When my and Jamie where up in the Tangihuas 2 of the goats we shot had small almost fully formed fetus' inside of them. While at first finding these was really cool it got me thinking; I know its crazy but i do it every now and then.

Some of you are probably shocked by this image and i agree it isn't the most pleasant picture ever taken. Yet as I began thinking about it the world is nuts. If an animal rights activist saw this picture they would be on me like fly on rotting fish. And yet they would probably not even flinch at the news that another baby got murdered through abortion because abortion is as normal in this society as walking out to the letterbox to get the mail. This is crazy, the world now places more importance on the lives of animals than on unborn human babies. When a whale is stranded on the beach it is all over the front pages of the national news papers and one of the headline story's on the news, yet the thousands of unborn babies killed through abortion do not even feature!

Yes stranded whales and animal testing are sad but they do not even compare to the importance of the thousands of unborn children murdered through abortion each year!

The Hunt a.k.a Jamie the Man

Dear Diary.....

Well anyway a couple of weeks ago Jamie and me took off into the Tangihuas(spelling?) to do some goat shooting. After hiking up a hill for about an hour and not seeing a thing we decided to walk back to the car seen as there wasn't anything around, so we stop walking quietly and begin talking as we stroll down the hillside. Anyway as we are meandering along talking about all manner of things(maybe even you) we saw a goats head poking up over the hillock we where on so we stop talking and go back up the hill a bit and there below us is a little herd of about 10 goats wandering about chewing on the lovely green grass.
Jamie motions for me to sit still and begins silently going down the hill towards them then raises the rifle and BAM! a goat drops like a rock and the others take off. Another shot and another goat drops but rolls away into the bushes never to be seen by the human eye again. Meanwhile the other goats are running into the bush so we give chase and another shot from the rifle brings another to the ground. So while Jamie cleaned up that goat up i grabbed the gun and began walking back to find the others he shot. Then seeing a goat walking about on the hillside all by its lonesome i decided to put it out of it miserable loneliness and lifting the gun to my eye dropped it. But thats where the fun ended and the work began Jamie set about gutting them while i stood by taking some pics. Then came the fun filled job of carrying them back down the hill and across a paddock to the car with blood dripping down our shoulders like red waterfalls of joy and happiness.
Some of you might be thinking Jamie hunting..? Isn't he that guy with the tight jeans and the emo swish haircut(no offense James :D)
Unlike common misconception Jamie is not a emo who gets his nails manicured for flame on a Friday night but a real man. Not just a real man but probably the only bloke at flame who could survive without power or a roof over his head. I would go as far as to say that he could probably survive with nothing but a knife and a loincloth for the rest of his life, heres some proof.

Not shying from all that blood.

Thats a real dinner...

Jamie the REAL man!

Sacrifices

Ever stopped and really thought about how you live your life?

Do you feel like you are truly living a Christian life. Over the last couple of weeks I've been thinking about the amazing sacrifice Jesus made for us and how little i am willing to give up for him.
Also the incredible sacrifices Christians in other parts of the world like China make as a part of their daily lives. When i really stop and think about these sacrifices it makes my life seem pretty insignificant with the things I ask God for e.g.. the right car, help finding a better job etc.

I've also been thinking about the sacrifices I have made, and there haven't been many. In fact none that i can count as significant... Given the sacrifices Jesus Christ the son of GOD and other Christians endure what right do i have to complain when I'm given the bad job at work or even my job. I mean hey I'm working full-time at McDonald's and still in the richest 20%  of the world life cant be that bad.

Given this i think it is time for all of us as Christians to give a little more and ask a little less of others, to be willing to sacrifice what we have for others and not just be Christians for the life insurance plan. This applies to everyone, especially me.
